My experience is that if you are working at a Hogwon they can do anything they want, but if they are willing to brake the rules to get you there don't expect them to follow the rules once you've arrived. There is a big problem with not honoring vacation days, paying on time, paying for return flights, etc... Many people I knew working in Korea got screwed. Make sure you get as much information on your employer as possible. Talk to former and current employees (Native & DEFINITELY foreign). Good luck to the both of you.
