Yes. The emails got through and I tried to contact them and then...... eventually got a response.... from Anne. I beleive she was in transit from Canada.

Not too happy about having to submit the last subject again, but at least I had it on file. I am hoping she finds my file where it shows I completed the course.

Everything seems to be going better.

I do think there needs to be a central database.

"I just updated your specializations; Please go to "My Page" and access them."

Where? How?

I have finished 4 courses and can find nothing.

I got a better reply. And an attachment. But it was not what I needed and was incomplete.

My advice:

Put the number of hours on the certificate - problem solved.

Barring that, prepare a letter format showing the student's name, ID number, course title, number of hours and completion date.

That's very easy.... but, a comprehensive database would also be nice.

Problem is not resolved, still waiting.

While I am not looking to return to Taiwan (the most foreigner un-friendly country I have been to), I will say that, in Taiwan, Kaohsiung is probably the best.

Expect it to be stifling hot in the summer.

Expect that almost every place you look there are signs wit Chinese characters and no English translation. Expect to try to learn the langauge from TV but the programs are in Mandarin with Mandarin subtitles (?? yep).

That said, the money is good, the expenses are low and if you have all these NETs around you, great! I'd go for it.

If you speak Mandarin, Cantonese or Haka..... go for it.... you will have a blast.

I think that, as a global service organization, that you should have a global database. In the "My Account" page, our courses should be listed.

It would seem that having all of your offices send you notices of completion/graduation would be simple and you could have that (with the proof) in your files.

Because your clients move.... inherent with the purpose of your service.... many either leave items behind in their home county or they lose them in the move. It would be nice if there was a central database to rely on for support.

I took Part I, the Foundation TESOL Certification Course: In Class (City: Taipei, Taiwan; Date: 31 January - 4 February 2007)

Subsequently, complete the Adults, Adolescent and Medical Terminology Subcourses.

I am currently at work. I will send copies of the scans to you when I get home this evening.

BUT!!!!! Previously, I sent you my Student ID and all the course names.

It appears that you must delete messages of people you do not intend to help.

As far as proof of payment. I think the fact that I completed all the courses should be the proof. And, I think that you can contact your Taiwan office...... you tell me to contact and cannot..... and they will tell you I paid.

This appears to be another tactic of non-support.... asking for information over-and-over.

Let me help..... did you take your classes in Edmonton? If not, write to where you did. If they do not respond - tough!!

But, if you signed up in Edmonton ---- nevermind, they won't respond either.

Sorry for being so cynical. What I need is also so simple and they won't help.

Marthe,

I HAVE contacted you and told you THREE TIMES that the website in Tawan is inaccessable and that Anne Hsu's address does not work.

I have sent you my email - because you responded there.

I have given you my address.

I need an official statement from YOUR office or from Taiwan showing the courses I have completed (4) and the number of hours for each.

Try to support me.

This is the fifth time, I have brought this to your attention and only after posting here, do you seem interested.

I will continue posting here and other Expat and Educational sites until you respond to my request for support. People need to know the run-around I am going through.

For the person who recommended copying the pages from the manual, thank you. But, official state licensing bureaus don't work like that.
