Hi Heather,

I agree, your situation sounds to be the 'norm' for many students with no degrees. I don't know what couples in your situation do to alleviate the situation.

However, from what I have been researching, there appears to be a lack of concrete information of how to approach the new requirements required. But I did find Dave's ESL cafe forums to be informative and people respond to your posted concerns.

This is all informative for those interested in heading to Taiwan to teach, but what about those who want to work in other countries such as in South Korea? From what I have been researching a Bachelor's degree is one of the requirements to teach in South Korea as noted on many job postings.

My two questions are:

1) What if a person has a college degree and a Foundation Certificate from GTC will this be enough to secure a teaching contract in South Korea?

2)What is being done by GTC to assist those individuals with the ever increasing demand for a bachelor's degree in most countries?
