IMPORTANT Foundation Course Changes

Global TESOL College is currently in the process of changing online and correspondence courses to a "final exam only" system.
Students who are currently working on the Foundation Course online or by correspondence will now have two options:
1. Complete the 13 assignments and the 40-question final exam from the online version of the Foundation Course Workbook and submit to academic@globaltesol.com
2. Take only the 114-question, timed exam that is now available under the heading "EXAM CENTER" in the online courses. Readings in the textbooks and recommended assignments are used to prepare for the test.

An e-mail to academic@globaltesol.com once the online test has been completed is required.

For correspondence students that do not have online access, please contact academic@globaltesol.com or phone 1-888-270-2941 to make alternate arrangements.
Wow so i have been away from my computer for awhile adn it seems the online program has changed a bit... So instead of completing the assignments i just do the exam? Am i understanding that correctly or not at all? Anyway if someone could get back to me that would be great!

Thanks
Heather
What about the specilization courses...can we complete those in the same way, with a final exam only?

Thanks

Hi:

We will be introducing online final exams for the specialization courses in the next few weeks. For now, the specialization courses will remain the same - students do the assignments and submit them for marking.
Like the Foundation Course, there will be a transition period once the online final exams for the specialization courses are introduced. Students that have already started doing the assignments in any of the specializations will have the choice to either continue doing the assignments and submit them for marking or to do the online final exam.
For the exams on the specialization courses, will there be practice exams, or examples of the kinds of questions that would be on each?
Hi Nicholass:

The final exams do not have a practice portion. The exams are divided into several sections and there is a time limit for each section. Each section is independent from the next in terms of time limits so you may complete one section today and the next tomorrow or even several days later.
