I finished my course in 2007 and also completed 3 subcourses. I am a licensed teacher in the USA (NC) and need to complete CEUs for renewal.
On many occassions, I have written to Global TESOL to get some sort of document showing how long the courses are that I have completed and the course names. I need this for my renewal.
I tried to contact the Taipei office and the lady does not respond and the website is dysfunctional.
So, I wrote to the headquarters and their response was to: Contact the lady in charge or the Taipei office!!!
Three times!!!! Three times, I wrote and told them that I could not reach the lady or access the website.
NOTHING!!!!!!
Is this how they support their graduates???
Is there no central database of graduates that the HQ can access?

Hi David,
I have an idea that might work. Go to the Employment Manual available for download. Go to page 242. From page 242 on, you have Global TESOL's program and course descriptions. Since these are part of the manual, I would assume they are "official" documents. My guess: (1) Print out the program description of your certificate. (2) Print out each course description for your specialization ((sub) courses. (3) Mail or fax all of them with your TESOL certificate to your licensure office. Also, include the toll-free telephone number for the Edmonton office. If your licensure office does not accept the documents right away, maybe somebody from the office has to speak with someone from Global TESOL to validate the documents' authenticity. I'll cross my fingers for you. -Kerry Busan, South Korea |

Dear F. David,
to your concern and entry question: we would like to help you with further references as soon as possible. First of all I like to explain that our Head Office in Edmonton is Canadas Headquarters and overseas Global Tesol College partnerships have their own database and website. Therefore, if you enrolled with the College in Taiwan, they provide you with any grad assisting issues. They have the proof of you being their student with all information needed in order to write a legal reference. Contact: admin@globaltesol.com |

Marthe,
I HAVE contacted you and told you THREE TIMES that the website in Tawan is inaccessable and that Anne Hsu's address does not work. I have sent you my email - because you responded there. I have given you my address. I need an official statement from YOUR office or from Taiwan showing the courses I have completed (4) and the number of hours for each. Try to support me. This is the fifth time, I have brought this to your attention and only after posting here, do you seem interested. I will continue posting here and other Expat and Educational sites until you respond to my request for support. People need to know the run-around I am going through. ------ For the person who recommended copying the pages from the manual, thank you. But, official state licensing bureaus don't work like that. I took Part I, the Foundation TESOL Certification Course: In Class (City: Taipei, Taiwan; Date: 31 January - 4 February 2007)
Subsequently, complete the Adults, Adolescent and Medical Terminology Subcourses. ------------------------------------- I am currently at work. I will send copies of the scans to you when I get home this evening. BUT!!!!! Previously, I sent you my Student ID and all the course names. It appears that you must delete messages of people you do not intend to help. As far as proof of payment. I think the fact that I completed all the courses should be the proof. And, I think that you can contact your Taiwan office...... you tell me to contact and cannot..... and they will tell you I paid. This appears to be another tactic of non-support.... asking for information over-and-over. |
