Short-Term Contracts in China

Hi All,

I am currently working my way through the TESOL Diploma with my girlfriend in NZ and we are wanting to head to China to for a bit of an OE this year.

I was wanting to know how easy have people found it to get shorter term contracts in China, say more than 6 but less than 12 months? We basically have a Gap Year to fill, though need to be back in NZ early 2013.
We both have Degrees, though neither of us have any experience or background in Teaching; aside form the TESOL Diploma.

Do people think this would be a reasonable expectation - to get short-term contracts with no experience?

Hi I have recently applied for a few jobs in China only to find out that the laws recently changed and you are now required to have two years experience as well as a degree. I am told South Korea and Taiwan are good substitutes though.
