Vietnam Visa Requirements!

Does anybody know if you need a work visa/permit to teach English in Vietnam?
I can't seem to find anything on it and am wanting to know if you can go into the country on a visitor visa and just find a job.
Thanks!
yes, vietnam can be strict. if you are discovered without the proper papers you likely get thrown out. if you come to cambodia you ask for a business visa when you land at the airport. it's an extra 5 dollars over the price of a tourist visa and there's no waiting period. if you want to know more contact me. there are plenty of teaching jobs here esp for primary schools. willgeorgem@yahoo.com
Thanks for that information!
I haven't looked much into Cambodia yet.
Is it possible to do 3 or 6 month contracts?
That would be ideal!
My boyfriend and I both have our TESOL certificates and are currently planning a trip so would be very interested in hearing more.
schools for kids are looking for committed teachers who will stay around for a year so i doubt you'll find contracts for shorter terms but there are tons of places that need teachers for adult classes too -generally in the evening 5:30 till 8 or so or weekends... lots of backpackers and gap year travelers have the same idea as you do so there will be more competition for those kinds of jobs...
the school i'm at has asked it's teachers to help spread the word about teaching children from 2-12 years age...these are fairly expensive (in cambodian terms) private schools that teach english, chinese, math and science to international standards so they want native speakers, preferably north american accents but uk, aus, nz, and europeans are also not a problem...experience and tesol are also definite assets...
