When I signed up for the TESOL course in Montreal, I did it because I figured it would be an easier way to get a job overseas. I imagined five very boring days, full of lecturing, mundane reading, and tedious assignments. While I was right about one thing (less than a month after the course, I got a job in Shanghai!), I was so, so wrong about the other. The course was an emotional roller coaster, where by the end of the ride, I, along with the rest of my truly amazing classmates, had gained more confidence, self-worth, and really, a more positive outlook on life and everything about it. Jim brings a whole new meaning to the word teacher. He inspires everyone to make the learning environment the best place in the world, and teaches us what we all forgot somewhere between elementary school and university - that learning is fun. I was told before I signed up for the course that it was life changing, and, at the risk of sounding corny, it really is. It allows people to grow, more than I ever thought was possible in a short five days. I'd recommend this course to anyone and everyone who's ever looked for that something more in their lives - Jim helps us to see that there is something more, and that it's actually in all of us.
