Any positions that require no degree?

Here in Colombia, the government only requires that a person have some kind of TESOL certification or pass the TKT exam. I think that a degree is mandatory only if one wants to teach at the university level. I recently obtained a job with British Alliance. The manager looked at my TESOL diploma, but never questioned me about whether or not I had a degree.
You can get a job teaching in many parts of Asia and South America without having a degree. In fact, experience is often preferred.
Hi Terry, How and when did you get to Colombia. I still have to finish my specialization courses on line, but I would love to teach in Colombia. Thank you for the post.
Alena, hi. I arrived in Colombia in January of this year. The private language school didn't work out. The pay is just too little. Currently, I have three private students. Also, I've applied for, and am waiting for a response from, an upscale high school. The pay will be around $2200000 pesos per month, which translates into about $1150. That's not bad here. If you move to Medellín and want to teach at a good school, be prepared to take the Cambridge TKT exam. I'm taking it on 4/09. Good luck.
hi Terry, Thank you for your reply and info. I will check into that exam for sure. I still have a fe courses to finish with TESOL, but I am thinking about going to Colombia eventually. Maybe I'm getting unpatient, but I feel close to my dream ;-) No matter what the situation is there, I would love to experience the country. Anyway, I do HOPE that somebody has answered your questions you have posted, I wish I was more of a help for you! Again, thank you very much and good luck with the exam. I'll keep checking the posts... ;-)
