Apts. for rent in Shanghai

Hi,

I'm moving to Shanghai in days. I'm looking to rent an apartment on my own. I was wondering if anyone out there has lived in Shanghai and can offer any advice? Is it hard to find a place to live on your own and how much does it cost to rent an apartment (one bdrm or bachelor)?

Thanks!!! :)
Hi Shelly,
I don't have any advice to offer you about apartments, sadly. However, I'm also moving to Shanghai (in 2-3 weeks). I also took the course with Jim in Toronto (just finished)! Maybe we should meet up and be English-speaking friends in Shanghai? This is a huge adventure for me - I've travelled but never lived anywhere overseas!
Are you working for the public school system?
Hey Carrie,

I'm not sure if you are on facebook, but if you would like, you can get my contact details from Jim. Congrats on finishing your Global TESOL. I took the course in October, VERY empowering! This is also going to be a huge adventure for me. I've lived overseas before, in Australia. Am really excited as I leave on Monday! And yes, I am working for the public school system.
Hi Shelly!
I hope you are loving your life in Shanghai so far :) I can't wait to join you there!

I looked for you on facebook but couldn't find you - but I asked Jim to send you my email, so hopefully we can connect!

Good luck in your orientation and your first few days of adjustment!

Cheers,
Carrie
