Hey All,
I was wondering if anyone has ever dealt with, or heard about a recruiting company called Testimony Kim. I have been contacted by them for a position in Ulsan, South Korea for a position with a middle school. They go by the names of Daniel Lee and Soo Kim and I have been in correspondence with both reps for the last week. They have asked me to send my documents so that they can go forward with getting my visa issued.
Do they need my documents prior to actually getting the contract made with the school? Wouldn't I need to accept the contract first before actually sending my documents?
--------------------This is what they wrote---------------------------
So, can you mail us all your docs ASAP? so that we can make a contract with the school soon.
The visa will be issued in a week after we apply your E2 visa to immigration.
After visa is issued you need to have an interview with the Korean consulate in Canada to get visa stamp.
We will pay for your flight ticket upfront and we will get reimbursemnet from the school.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------
Any guidance would be much appreciated!
Thanks in advance to those of you that resond,
shanda simpson

Hi Shanda,
I just emailed you, but so everyone else can see...what they are asking for is standard for South Korea. They will ask for your original degree to be mailed to them for authentication. They will get all those papers etc. ready once you've agreed to the contract so that you can get everything you need from the embassy within Canada so that you can go. Is anyone teaching in South Korea and have any experience working with this company? If you'd like to be in touch with Shanda, email me your email address if you have helpful hints about South Korea, or post them in this forum! Heidy |

Hey, just giving everyone an update about Daniel and Soo Kim from English World recruiting company based in South Korea, this is their website: http://www.englishworld.or.kr
It took me longer to find more information about the agency mainly because I think they don't have a lot of popular keywords that could be read by search engines. There are testimonials on their site written by foreign teachers placed by them. I also found a blog here that mentioned them for a bit: http://www.travelpod.com/travel-blog-entries/sokha/1/1252997829/tpod.html Thanks to Shanda for referring me to Daniel and Soo, I was recently placed by them in Ansan, South Korea and will be leaving for a GEPIK position in May 2010. I worked primarily with Soo Kim, she is indeed very friendly and prompt. I will give you guys more info about the services I get from this recruiter esp. before and upon my arrival in South Korea. |
