Canada - France Working Holiday VISA

Hello!

These are questions for anyone who has ever applied for a French Working Holiday VISA, or is very familiar with the requirements. As you know, the French Consulate doesn't take any
calls about VISAs, and I want to make sure I have everything done right before my boyfriend and I head to our appointment in August.

1. Excess medical insurance - One of the requirements is to purchase excess medical insurance for the year of the VISA. Is it sufficient to purchase emergency medical insurance? Specifically, we are planning on going with Bon Voyage Travel Insurance from TravelCUTS. Do you know if this plan would be appropriate?

2. On the consulate website, it says that VISAs can be issued that day. Do you know if this is the case, or will we have to wait for them to mail us something? We are leaving for Paris 2 weeks after our appointment, so getting our VISAs immediately is ideal.

Hopefully someone can help us out with these answers - we don't want to get turned down!
